HD projector for home cinema and business
HD projectors offer the perfect solution for high-resolution projections - both in the home cinema and in the business sector. Whether you want to enjoy movie nights or give convincing presentations in the office - the resolution and brilliant colour quality of modern HD projectors ensure impressive results in any environment.
Our HD projectors support these resolutions
Our HD projectors are versatile and offer impressive picture quality in various resolutions. From classic HD content to higher resolution WUXGA media, HD projectors are capable of delivering an impressive viewing experience. Here you can find out which resolutions are supported and what advantages each offers.
HD resolution (1,280 x 720 pixels): Entry into the HD world starts at 1,280 x 720 pixels. This resolution provides clear images and is particularly suitable for smaller rooms or everyday media enjoyment.
Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels): For an optimal viewing experience, we recommend Full HD projectors. With 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and the widespread 16:9 aspect ratio, they offer razor-sharp images, especially for Blu-ray films and series. The picture quality is maintained even with large screen diagonals.
WUXGA resolution (1,920 x 1,200 pixels): WUXGA projectors also belong to the HD projector category and offer an aspect ratio of 16:10. This format fits perfectly with many laptops and PCs and is ideal for presentations as it guarantees optimum compatibility and high picture quality.
What are the advantages of an HD projector over a television?
✓ Larger picture diagonal - ideal for a real home cinema experience
✓ Image size can be flexibly adjusted - depending on room size and projection distance
✓ Space-saving mounting or positioning - the screen can be easily concealed when not in use
✓ Mini HD projectors available that can even be used outdoors
✓ better cost-benefit ratio in terms of image size
Brightness and contrast value: important factors for image quality
The brightness of an HD projector, measured in lumens, determines how clear and distinct the image is visible in different environments. For dark rooms, such as home cinemas, 1,500 to 3,000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to produce a high-contrast and pleasant image. In bright rooms or in daylight, you should select at least 5,000 ANSI lumens to ensure visibility. Daylight projectors are particularly recommended here, as they have been specially developed for well-lit rooms.
In addition to brightness, the contrast value also plays a decisive role. Contrast describes the ratio between the brightest white and the darkest black of an image. A high contrast value, e.g. 10,000:1 or higher, ensures vivid colours and clear details, especially in dark scenes.
→ 3,000:1 and higher: Good contrast for clear image display
→ 10,000:1 and higher: Provides more vivid and detailed images
Requirements for home cinema vs. presentations
Also pay attention to the gain factor of the screen, which influences the light reflection. A higher gain value increases the brightness of the projected image, which can be an advantage in bright rooms.
Other important purchase criteria for an HD projector
When buying an HD projector, there are other important criteria besides brightness and contrast that influence performance and user-friendliness. Here are some practical tips:
