Solutions for private customers

Home cinema in every living room

A living room is usually the first place where you want to set up a home cinema. This is because a home cinema basement is not available to everyone. However, not every living room offers the necessary conditions for an easy installation.

Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) in 16:9 format or 4K (3,840 x 2,160) in 16:9 format. WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) in 16:10 format is an alternative if you are looking for a bright projector that is in the home entertainment segment.

Installation

Ceiling mounting via ceiling bracket or placement on a cabinet if the projector has a strong lens shift function.

Expert Tip:

Avoid direct incidence of light on the projection surface. No projector, no matter how bright, will be able to outshine direct sunlight.
Canvas

Projector screen

  • well suited for medium to large living rooms
  • Projection surfaces up to 3 metres wide possible
  • various screen types available

Screen width

The screen width should be based on the seat spacing. A rough guide would be half of the viewing distance as the screen width. However, a width of more than 3m is not recommended, as otherwise the image is no longer sufficiently bright.

Screen type

The type of screen depends on the installation possibilities. In terms of quality, a frame screen is the best solution. However, it can look like a bit empty photo frame when not in use,  so a manual or electric drop down screen is typically preferred.

Assembly

The screen is ideally installed on the ceiling. If you have an old flat with high ceilings, wall mounting is almost inevitable. The advantage of wall mounting is that you can counteract a missing black border by installing it deeper, if necessary, to get the image at eye level.

Expert Tip:

If you use a motorised screen, you can equip it with a trigger. As soon as the projector is switched on, the screen automatically rolls down.

Power

A large seminar room, a meeting room, a small classroom or even an impressive high-end home cinema. Every room has its own requirements for audio components. In addition to the electrical power handling capacity, the efficiency of a loudspeaker is important. Efficiency indicates in decibels how loud a loudspeaker is at one watt at a distance of one metre.

Sound quality

Two speaker combinations are common in home and professional use. Complete soundbars combine all speakers in one cabinet. They reproduce the full spectrum of an audio signal within their frequency range. Modular systems each transmit a separate frequency range. This results in countless possibilities (e.g. tweeter/midrange units + bass unit). The quality of the speakers, the frequency range, their arrangement and placement are decisive for optimal sound quality.

Operability

The operability is adapted to your needs. Audio systems can either be tailored to a specific room situation or adapted to changing situations. This results in very different requirements for the control of an audio installation. This is done centrally via a permanently installed control panel, via several end devices via app or via comprehensive media control.

Expert Tip:

A high-quality audio setup is important! The human brain combines visual and auditory sensory stimuli. The playback quality of an audio system enhances the listener's perception and increases overall intelligibility.
