Why a projector?

The most obvious advantage is, of course, the large image that a projector produces. In combination with a high resolution, detailed images are created which make the gaming experience all the more intense. It also creates an impressive cinema atmosphere, which makes gaming with several people even more entertaining. Thanks to the PlayStation Blu-ray playback function, the gaming environment can be transformed into a home cinema in a matter of seconds.

PlayStation: From revolution to innovation

in 1994, Sony Interactive Entertainment, a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, launched the first PlayStation, which delighted millions of video game fans around the world. The PlayStation set new standards in graphics, sound and game depth and made Sony a leading manufacturer in the gaming sector. In the years that followed, four more PlayStation models were released. Each new generation of PlayStation brought significant improvements and pushed the boundaries of gaming.

What should I consider when buying?

Not every projector is automatically suitable for the PlayStation.

sonne-nobubble

Brightness

The projector should have at least 2,000 ANSI lumens if your gaming room can be completely darkened.

In brighter rooms such as the living room, we recommend at least 3,000 ANSI lumens for a clearly recognisable image.
Icon resolution

Resolution

Resolution refers to the number of pixels in an image. More pixels mean higher picture quality. For detailed video games, we recommend 4K, which is also supported by the PlayStation.
Icon contrast

Contrast

The contrast represents the maximum difference between black and white lights. For vivid colours, we recommend a contrast ratio of at least 5,000:1.
Icon connection

Connections

An HDMI input is required to connect the projector to the PlayStation. Other connections are optional.
Icon simple operation

Input-lag

The input lag is the time between signal reception and image projection. It should be as short as possible and therefore a maximum of 20 ms.

The right canvas

Screens are available in various designs and sizes. They range from mobile screens, which can be flexibly set up in a wide variety of locations, to permanently mounted frame or motorised screens. When choosing your screen, you should clarify the following aspects:

1. Which type of screen is suitable for my environment?

2. Which format is required?

3.which screen fabric is best suited?

If your gaming environment is rather bright, then we recommend a CLR screen from celexon, as they increase contrast and ensure rich colours. Browse through our selection of screens and find the right one for you!
