In order to use your video wall efficiently, you should already pay attention to many different technical characteristics when selecting the individual modules. The distance between the individual pixels and the thickness of the frame, for example, are decisive for the minimum viewing distance and thus also for the overall effect of your video wall.

To the LED Walls

Pixel density

LED walls are composed of many cabinets. Each cabinet has a certain pixel density, which represents the image sharpness that can be recognised later. Depending on the project, look for a high pixel density (1.5 mm pixel pitch, e.g. for conference rooms) or a lower pixel density (2.5 mm, e.g. for indoor advertising on high walls).

Resolution

The LED walls are available in resolutions from Full HD to 4K. For walls where the viewer is closer, the 4K display is recommended. If the viewer is looking from further away, for example at advertising boards, the Full HD display is often sufficient.

Assembly

LED walls are installed on the wall. Make sure that the surface is firm. The installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel . Our experts will be happy to help you

Expert Tip:

The majority of LED Walls are designed for indoor use. The wall should therefore be installed in a covered area with normal room temperatures. There are special LED walls for outdoor use. Ask our experts about this.

Brightness

12,000 lumens (minimum) for LCD projectors and 13,000 lumens (minimum) for DLP projectors for a screen width of approximately three metres in a barely darkened room.

Resolution

Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) in 16:9 format or WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) in 16:10 format.

Assembly

Ceiling mounting via ceiling bracket. Since bright projectors are usually larger and heavier than conventional projectors, it is important to ensure that the ceiling mount has sufficient load-bearing capacity.

Expert Tip:

In many cases, it is no longer necessary to run the individual cable harnesses from the desk to the projector or display . Connect a switch behind the desk in which you merge the signals. Now you only need to lay an HDMI and LAN cable(HDBaseT) to the display. This saves several cable harnesses and unnecessarily large cable ducts.
