Deluxx Cinema Tension Electric projector screen - DARKVISION ALR
The screen has almost as much influence on the picture quality in bright living rooms as the home cinema projector itself. Stray light from lamps or light reflecting off white walls can spoil the home cinema experience. The solution? The Deluxx 0.8 gain contrast screen fabric ‘DARKVISION’ filters out the disturbing stray light and focusses the projection light on the viewer. The Deluxx Cinema Tension motorised screen - DARKVISION thus combines optimum screen fabric properties with a reference image in the home cinema.
The Deluxx DARKVISION Tension ALR is a high-quality, motorised screen in an attractive matt white housing - an inconspicuous addition to any living room or home cinema. The screen fabric has been specially developed to maximise the black level and image contrast. You can say goodbye to typical ‘wash-out effects’ or ‘grey haze’ even in a slightly darkened room. The Deluxx contrast screen fabric increases the black level by up to a factor of 8. Experience your projector in a new way: vivid FullHD and 4K HDR films like in the cinema are now possible.
Tip: The Deluxx DARKVISION contrast screen fabric is only suitable for long throw projectors
Deluxx's DARKVISION contrast screen fabric has been developed with an extremely fine surface structure and is already suitable for 8K and almost 100% colour-neutral. The lateral tensioning system enables very good flatness and can be infinitely re-adjusted on each side if required. This means that ‘dog-ears’ can be effectively corrected.
The Deluxx Cinema Tension motorised screen - DARKVISION is supplied with a comprehensive range of accessories and can be controlled in a variety of ways: Wireless radio and IR remote controls are included, but wireless integration into your Logitech remote control (codes are stored with Logitech) is also no problem. There is also a 5V-20V trigger input (screen moves down/up automatically when the projector is switched on/off) and professional integration via RS232/RS485 in systems from Crestron or RTI, for example, as well as potential-free contacts. The choice is yours!

Aspect Ratio | 16:9 Aspect Ratio Format: The projected image is output in a format (aspect ratio) specified by the projector. The format is also determined by the resolution of the projector (see also the entry "Resolution"). The screen format is usually selected on the basis of the format of the beamer image. The most common formats are 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10. |
Viewable Area - Width | 298 cm Viewable Area - Width Visible surface: The usable surface of a screen is the coated part of the cloth on which the image is projected. The frame and box width are always a few centimetres wider than the usable surface of the screen. |
Viewable Area - Height | 168 cm Viewable Area - Height Visible surface: The usable surface of a screen is the coated part of the cloth on which the image is projected. The frame and box width are always a few centimetres wider than the usable surface of the screen. Leader: The leader or offset is the part above the screen. This allows the upper vertical area of the fabric of a roller screen to be limited and freely determined within certain limits. The leading edge prevents the visible area of the screen from being set too high when a screen is positioned in rooms with high ceilings. |
Black border - Top | 20 cm Black border - Top Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Black borders - Left/Right | 5 cm Black borders - Left/Right Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Black border - bottom | 5 cm Black border - bottom Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Gain factor | 0.8 Gain factor Gain factor: The gain factor (or also called gain) is used to assess the reflection behaviour of screens and describes the light gain achieved in contrast to the brightness of the projector. A gain factor of 1.2 indicates that a screen reflects 1.2 times more in a given direction than a defined white standard surface. The gain factor is always given for the straight viewing angle of 0 degrees. Hot spot: A hot spot is a brightening in the centre of the image on a screen. These disturbing artefacts are created by the direct visibility of the projector lamp and only occur on screens with a very high gain factor (1.8 to 2.0). |
Viewing angle - Horizontal | 120° Viewing angle - Horizontal Viewing angle: The viewing angle indicates the distance from the centre line at which the projected image is perceived as being of good quality without restrictions. As a rule, the horizontal viewing angle is specified. A good viewing angle lies within a range of 110 to 130 degrees from the centre of the picture, i.e. 55 to 65 degrees to the left and 65 to the right. If you are outside the viewing angle, the picture deteriorates disproportionately. |
