Product information
We have developed our celexon HomeCinema Tension screen for all home cinema lovers. We paid special attention to functional components and useful features, as well as to an elegant design, the use of high-quality materials and an outstanding price / performance ratio.
Projection fabric
We have equipped the new HomeCinema Electric Tension with a fiberglass fabric optimized for high-definition content. Full-HD or 4k content is displayed as intended by your projector.
This ensures particularly long-term use - unlike with pure PVC cloths, our fiberglass backing is significantly more temperature-stable (please note the enclosed instructions). In addition, it is equipped with an anti-mould coating and has an antistatic effect.
A very homogeneous and detailed image reproduction with a wide viewing angle makes our projection surface (of the "TYPE D" = diffuse reflecting) the ultimate choice for all living room cinemas. The gain of 0.9 (according to DIN1945-4) is deliberately chosen "neutral", so that colour values are not distorted (as occurs with higher-gain fabrics) and optimum contrast values can be achieved for matt-white fabrics; The picture appears homogeneous and in all its cinematic brilliance.
Components
The dimensionally stable shaft effectively prevents horizontal banding in addition to the heavy weighting rod. The lateral tension system ensures optimum flatness and effectively prevents "dog-ears" in the projection area. Adjustment screws can be found on the caps of the weighting rod allowing you to retighten the Tension system should it have lost some of its tension after a few years.
Features
Our HomeCinema Electric screen Tension - MWHT is supplied with extensive accessories, and "out of the box" offers various control methods:
Remotely control via enclosed radio or infrared remote control.
Automated by trigger cable - You control your screen easily and conveniently via the trigger output of your projector.
Integration via RS232 protocol or potential-free contacts - For control via media controls

Assembly
The HomeCinema Tension – MWHT is safe, easy and quick to install. The aluminium tube is attached with two flexibly positionable mounting brackets, which are suitable for ceiling or wall mounting. The mounting brackets can be freely positioned along the housing based on the on-site requirements. Alternatively, the screen can also be "suspended" by means of enclosed ring eyelets to e.g. Chains (not included).

Aspect Ratio | 16:9 Aspect Ratio Format: The projected image is output in a format (aspect ratio) specified by the projector. The format is also determined by the resolution of the projector (see also the entry "Resolution"). The screen format is usually selected on the basis of the format of the beamer image. The most common formats are 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10. |
Viewable Area - Width | 180 cm Viewable Area - Width Visible surface: The usable surface of a screen is the coated part of the cloth on which the image is projected. The frame and box width are always a few centimetres wider than the usable surface of the screen. |
Viewable Area - Height | 102 cm Viewable Area - Height Visible surface: The usable surface of a screen is the coated part of the cloth on which the image is projected. The frame and box width are always a few centimetres wider than the usable surface of the screen. Leader: The leader or offset is the part above the screen. This allows the upper vertical area of the fabric of a roller screen to be limited and freely determined within certain limits. The leading edge prevents the visible area of the screen from being set too high when a screen is positioned in rooms with high ceilings. |
Black border - Top | 30 cm Black border - Top Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Black borders - Left/Right | 5 cm Black borders - Left/Right Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Black border - bottom | 5 cm Black border - bottom Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Gain factor | 0.9 Gain factor Gain factor: The gain factor (or also called gain) is used to assess the reflection behaviour of screens and describes the light gain achieved in contrast to the brightness of the projector. A gain factor of 1.2 indicates that a screen reflects 1.2 times more in a given direction than a defined white standard surface. The gain factor is always given for the straight viewing angle of 0 degrees. Hot spot: A hot spot is a brightening in the centre of the image on a screen. These disturbing artefacts are created by the direct visibility of the projector lamp and only occur on screens with a very high gain factor (1.8 to 2.0). |
Viewing angle - Horizontal | 150° Viewing angle - Horizontal Viewing angle: The viewing angle indicates the distance from the centre line at which the projected image is perceived as being of good quality without restrictions. As a rule, the horizontal viewing angle is specified. A good viewing angle lies within a range of 110 to 130 degrees from the centre of the picture, i.e. 55 to 65 degrees to the left and 65 to the right. If you are outside the viewing angle, the picture deteriorates disproportionately. |
