DELUXX Cinema High Contrast Frame Screen - DAYVISION ALR
The screen has almost as much influence on the picture quality in bright living rooms as the projector itself. Stray light from lamps or light reflections from white walls can spoil the home cinema experience. The solution? The Deluxx 1.0 Gain high-contrast fabric "DayVision" filters out the disturbing stray light and focuses the projection light on the viewer without distorting colours.
This means that the DELUXX Cinema high-contrast frame screen - DAYVISION ALR combines optimum fabric properties with a reference image in the home cinema.
The DELUXX Cinema High Contrast Frame Screen - DAYVISION ALR is a high-quality frame screen with a low-reflection Velvet frame. The flat frame construction with inwardly flattened profiles eliminates edge reflections. At only 28mm, the frame sits flat on the wall, creating a particularly homogeneous and unobtrusive appearance, even when not in use. The rubber cord tensioning on the back keeps the fabric permanently under tension and ensures perfect flatness right up to the edges.
Transform your living room into a professional home cinema in just a few easy steps.
The DayVision ALR screen fabric was specially developed to maximise the contrast value, even with residual light. You can say goodbye to typical "wash-out effects" or "grey haze" even at low levels of darkening. The DayVision ALR is deliberately designed to be neutral with 1.0 gain and reproduces the projected image with extreme colour fidelity. Disturbing glitter effects and the resulting hot spots are actively avoided with this fabric.
Deluxx's DayVision contrast screen fabric was developed with an extremely fine surface structure and is already suitable for 8K as well as being almost 100% colour-neutral in reproduction. The black, all-round edge ensures not only a clean display of the image edge but also better contrast perception and fatigue-free viewing during prolonged film enjoyment. The masking is ultrasonically welded to the DayVision screen fabric with extreme precision, resulting in homogeneous, clean and 100% straight edges and leading edges without exception.
Due to the high-quality fabric manufacture, special processing techniques and the rubber rope tension on the back, an excellent flatness is ensured. Each Deluxx DayVision is hand-assembled from high-quality components, measured and adjusted with high precision and visually inspected before delivery.

Aspect Ratio | 16:9 Aspect Ratio Format: The projected image is output in a format (aspect ratio) specified by the projector. The format is also determined by the resolution of the projector (see also the entry "Resolution"). The screen format is usually selected on the basis of the format of the beamer image. The most common formats are 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10. |
Viewable Area - Width | 244 cm Viewable Area - Width Visible surface: The usable surface of a screen is the coated part of the cloth on which the image is projected. The frame and box width are always a few centimetres wider than the usable surface of the screen. |
Viewable Area - Height | 137 cm Viewable Area - Height Visible surface: The usable surface of a screen is the coated part of the cloth on which the image is projected. The frame and box width are always a few centimetres wider than the usable surface of the screen. Leader: The leader or offset is the part above the screen. This allows the upper vertical area of the fabric of a roller screen to be limited and freely determined within certain limits. The leading edge prevents the visible area of the screen from being set too high when a screen is positioned in rooms with high ceilings. |
Black border - Top | 0 cm Black border - Top Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Black borders - Left/Right | 0 cm Black borders - Left/Right Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Black border - bottom | 0 cm Black border - bottom Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Gain factor | 1 Gain factor Gain factor: The gain factor (or also called gain) is used to assess the reflection behaviour of screens and describes the light gain achieved in contrast to the brightness of the projector. A gain factor of 1.2 indicates that a screen reflects 1.2 times more in a given direction than a defined white standard surface. The gain factor is always given for the straight viewing angle of 0 degrees. Hot spot: A hot spot is a brightening in the centre of the image on a screen. These disturbing artefacts are created by the direct visibility of the projector lamp and only occur on screens with a very high gain factor (1.8 to 2.0). |
Viewing angle - Horizontal | 150° Viewing angle - Horizontal Viewing angle: The viewing angle indicates the distance from the centre line at which the projected image is perceived as being of good quality without restrictions. As a rule, the horizontal viewing angle is specified. A good viewing angle lies within a range of 110 to 130 degrees from the centre of the picture, i.e. 55 to 65 degrees to the left and 65 to the right. If you are outside the viewing angle, the picture deteriorates disproportionately. |
