DELUXX CINEMA HIGH CONTRAST SCREEN TENSION II - DAYVISION ALR
FOR MORE CONTRAST, QUALITY AND CINEMA EXPERIENCE THAN EVER BEFORE
Many years of experience of the DELUXX brand have resulted in a new screen for convincing home cinema enjoyment with technical expertise and handmade precision: The DELUXX Cinema High Contrast Screen Tension II - DAYVISION ALR.
The innovative fabric and tension technology and the high-quality workmanship make the product more durable and create a homogeneous ALR surface for maximum contrast enjoyment. This projection screen combines state-of-the-art technology with innovative design, so that the screen is both visually and technically at the cutting edge of development.
MADE IN EUROPE | As one of the few leading screen manufacturers, we continue to rely on European manufacturing with high-quality materials - this can be seen and felt not least in the durability and appearance of our DAYVISION ALR screens.
HIGH CONTRAST | The interaction between projectors and ambient light is not always easy. Either a large amount of capital can be invested in a bright projector or the reflection values of the screen can be optimised. The DAYVISION fabric scores doubly with its multi-layer ALR structure: on the one hand, the black level and contrast are intensified by the grey base colouring and, on the other hand, disturbing residual and scattered light is largely absorbed or reflected. As an angle-dependent (angle of incidence = exit angle) contrast screen, the projector light is directed to the viewer without being darkened - perfect for bright living rooms with (residual) ambient light or switched-on ambient lighting.
On the left a standard matt white 1.0 gain screen in a bright environment "washed out" image - On the right the DELUXX Dayvision with better black level and punch in the image
Unlike standard contrast screens, the DELUXX DAYVISION benefits from a tested colour neutrality of 1.0 gain compared to matt white fabric surfaces without darkening the image or even making it look washed out. This means that the full colour brilliance is maintained with a wide viewing angle stability of 150° for all viewers from any seating position.
Typical contrast screen Left with better black level but less brightness - Right the DELUXX Dayvision with 1.0 gain and latest ALR contrast technology
The DAYVISION ALR screen fabric has been specially developed to maximise the contrast value, even with residual light. You can say goodbye to typical "wash-out effects" or "grey haze" even at low levels of darkening. The DAYVISION ALR is deliberately designed to be neutral with 1.0 gain and reproduces the projected image with extreme colour fidelity. Disturbing glitter effects and the resulting hot spots are actively avoided with this screen.
HIGH-PRECISION | DELUXX's DAYVISION contrast screen fabric was developed with an extremely fine surface structure and is already suitable for 8K as well as almost 100% colour-neutral in reproduction. The black, all-round edge ensures not only a clean display of the image edge but also better contrast perception and fatigue-free viewing during prolonged film enjoyment. The masking is welded extremely precisely to the DAYVISION cloth using a high-frequency process, resulting in homogeneous, clean and 100% straight edges and leads without exception.
Typical miseries such as winding folds in the projection screen fabric or tension faults in the edge area correspond to the qualities you have to expect from ALR screens on the market today - but not from DELUXX!
Each aluminium worm winding shaft is precisely produced, milled and thus notched in such a way that fabric and shaft merge into one and unsightly winding creases are completely avoided.
Patented aluminium worm winding roller for trouble-free winding of the fabric
Due to the thin ALR fabric, a much more intensive tensioning system had to be used. The new tension rope system has the advantage that the projection result is perfectly reproduced right up to the edges. Curved side edges or V-waves in the projection screen fabric are actively prevented with the tension rope. One of the reasons for this is that the weighting bar is double-worked:
There are two weights on each side edge of the weighting bar, which have a direct influence on the cable tension. The vertical force pulls the tension rope to tension and the horizontal force pulls the side edges of the fabric outwards. This automatically results in a completely flat and level fabric surface that reflects impressively sharp images.
INCREDIBLY IMPACTFUL | The DELUXX Cinema Motorised Screen Tension - DAYVISION is a high-quality, motorised rope-tensioned screen in an attractive, specially designed matt white housing. Painted with a low-reflection finish, the housing blends inconspicuously into any living room or home cinema.
The design is unique and captivates with its dynamic curves and powerful curvatures. The organic design contrasts with geometric, business like styles, which appears more natural and casual to the observer - thus enhancing the room and creating a familiar, intimate and relaxed atmosphere where one would like to experience exciting film evenings together.
The drop-shaped weighting rod retracts tightly into the housing, creating a closed look. This protects the projection screen fabric and the internal mechanism from external influences when not in use. The extruded aluminium housing with flush side caps can be conveniently and flexibly mounted with freely positionable wall and ceiling mounting brackets.
Excellent flatness is ensured due to the high-quality fabric manufacture, special processing techniques and the lateral cable tensioning (Tension System). Each Deluxx DAYVISION is hand-assembled from high-quality components, measured and adjusted with high precision and visually inspected before delivery.

Aspect Ratio | 16:9 Aspect Ratio Format: The projected image is output in a format (aspect ratio) specified by the projector. The format is also determined by the resolution of the projector (see also the entry "Resolution"). The screen format is usually selected on the basis of the format of the beamer image. The most common formats are 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10. |
Viewable Area - Width | 300 cm Viewable Area - Width Visible surface: The usable surface of a screen is the coated part of the cloth on which the image is projected. The frame and box width are always a few centimetres wider than the usable surface of the screen. |
Viewable Area - Height | 169 cm Viewable Area - Height Visible surface: The usable surface of a screen is the coated part of the cloth on which the image is projected. The frame and box width are always a few centimetres wider than the usable surface of the screen. Leader: The leader or offset is the part above the screen. This allows the upper vertical area of the fabric of a roller screen to be limited and freely determined within certain limits. The leading edge prevents the visible area of the screen from being set too high when a screen is positioned in rooms with high ceilings. |
Black border - Top | 15 cm Black border - Top Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Black borders - Left/Right | 5 cm Black borders - Left/Right Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Black border - bottom | 5 cm Black border - bottom Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Gain factor | 1 Gain factor Gain factor: The gain factor (or also called gain) is used to assess the reflection behaviour of screens and describes the light gain achieved in contrast to the brightness of the projector. A gain factor of 1.2 indicates that a screen reflects 1.2 times more in a given direction than a defined white standard surface. The gain factor is always given for the straight viewing angle of 0 degrees. Hot spot: A hot spot is a brightening in the centre of the image on a screen. These disturbing artefacts are created by the direct visibility of the projector lamp and only occur on screens with a very high gain factor (1.8 to 2.0). |
Viewing angle - Horizontal | 150° Viewing angle - Horizontal Viewing angle: The viewing angle indicates the distance from the centre line at which the projected image is perceived as being of good quality without restrictions. As a rule, the horizontal viewing angle is specified. A good viewing angle lies within a range of 110 to 130 degrees from the centre of the picture, i.e. 55 to 65 degrees to the left and 65 to the right. If you are outside the viewing angle, the picture deteriorates disproportionately. |
