Product information
The world sensation of the latest, exclusive laser TV projection screen surface technology from celexon!
A world first exclusively from celexon - our latest screen surface technology combines the advantages of Fresnel and CLR. Unprecedented depth effect and plasticity, very good black levels, high 98% colour fidelity, a "neutral" gain factor with real 1.0 and all this with a sensationally wide viewing angle of 135° - with 3 sides of active ambient light absorption of over 95 % vertically and over 75 % horizontally.
The BrightOnyx screen fabric is manufactured using the latest photolithography process and achieves unrivalled control over light projection, angle and direction with its multi-layer fabric construction.
Our latest laser TV screen fabric is the result of years of experience and development in the field of ALR projection screens.
While CLR (ceiling light rejection) is particularly strong in the absorption of ceiling light and enables a very wide viewing angle with high black levels, but performs weaker in the area of lateral ambient light rejection and has to make do with lower gain values between 0.5 - 0.8, Fresnel technology offers active 3-sided light rejection, usually with gain values around 1 - 1.3, but weaker black levels and significantly lower viewing angles, well below 100°.
Our new BrightOnyx fabric technology combines the advantages of both technologies and thus represents the world's most competent laser TV projection surface for projection under clear residual light conditions - just as a TV replacement should be!
Our exclusive 9-layer multilayer BrightOnyx, manufactured using the latest photolithography process, is superior to conventional ALR fabrics, such as Fresnel, with 95% ambient light absorption and scattering, while effectively preventing hotspots and shadows for a flawless viewing experience!
Experience razor-sharp images with bright content and perfect homogeneity in the illumination
Of course, our BrightOnyx has also been developed for use in classic, darkened home cinemas. Film lovers will be delighted with the plasticity, high black levels, sharpness, richness of detail, homogeneity and colour fidelity and will be future-proofed for resolutions up to well over 8K. Our Bright Onyx is suitable for all types of ultra-short throw projection, whether DLP, LCD, SXRD etc. or LED or laser light source.
Action-packed home cinema (even during the day) for immersion with celexon's BrightOnyx
The construction of the frame here is extremely simple and at the same time highly effective in terms of all-round tension. Our BrightOnyx frame canvas is stretched 100% all the way round. We achieve this with a newly developed keder system, whereby the keder attached to the fabric is pressed into a groove on the frame profile all the way round.
No annoying and only punctual spring tensioning - the fabric is mounted directly from the front on the frame all the way round to the corners.
The result is 100% flatness over the entire fabric area - and it's permanent!
The BrightOnyx also features our new millimetre-precise and infinitely adjustable mounting rail system.
Mount once - perfectly aligned forever.
This allows you to drill the required holes in your wall just once and easily adjust the required height for your projector using the mounting rails.
Even if you change your projector or the furniture on which it stands, you can easily adjust the screen position to the new dimensions without having to drill again. A scale attached to the rails makes it noticeably easier for you to set the correct height; the frame can be moved sideways on the rails just as easily.
smart ideas for the bigger picture.

Aspect Ratio | 16:9 Aspect Ratio Format: The projected image is output in a format (aspect ratio) specified by the projector. The format is also determined by the resolution of the projector (see also the entry "Resolution"). The screen format is usually selected on the basis of the format of the beamer image. The most common formats are 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10. |
Viewable Area - Width | 221.4 cm Viewable Area - Width Visible surface: The usable surface of a screen is the coated part of the cloth on which the image is projected. The frame and box width are always a few centimetres wider than the usable surface of the screen. |
Viewable Area - Height | 124.5 cm Viewable Area - Height Visible surface: The usable surface of a screen is the coated part of the cloth on which the image is projected. The frame and box width are always a few centimetres wider than the usable surface of the screen. Leader: The leader or offset is the part above the screen. This allows the upper vertical area of the fabric of a roller screen to be limited and freely determined within certain limits. The leading edge prevents the visible area of the screen from being set too high when a screen is positioned in rooms with high ceilings. |
Black border - Top | 1.5 cm Black border - Top Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Black borders - Left/Right | 1.5 cm Black borders - Left/Right Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Black border - bottom | 1.5 cm Black border - bottom Masking: The black border of a canvas is called masking. It provides an increase in contrast to the actually visible image and is also responsible for delimiting the edge of the image. The masking can be fixed or variable, for example to switch to a different format. |
Gain factor | 1 Gain factor Gain factor: The gain factor (or also called gain) is used to assess the reflection behaviour of screens and describes the light gain achieved in contrast to the brightness of the projector. A gain factor of 1.2 indicates that a screen reflects 1.2 times more in a given direction than a defined white standard surface. The gain factor is always given for the straight viewing angle of 0 degrees. Hot spot: A hot spot is a brightening in the centre of the image on a screen. These disturbing artefacts are created by the direct visibility of the projector lamp and only occur on screens with a very high gain factor (1.8 to 2.0). |
