The Magnetar UDP900 4K UHD Blu-ray player is equipped with the professional-grade Mediatek MT8581 quad-core system and offers advanced image decoding and processing technology. With support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+, it sets a new standard for dynamic image standards. The UDP900 guarantees superb audio quality with ESS9038PRO and ESS9028PRO D/A decoding for 2-channel XLR, balanced and unbalanced RCA outputs, as well as 7.1 RCA output. It also supports XMOS USB audio input, SMB and Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual X.

The UDP900 features a 6-layer main PCB with gold plating, an ultra-low noise level and a 27MHz TCXO temperature-compensated crystal oscillator. This doubles the accuracy of the LDO power supply processing compared to the UDP800. Additional digital signal processing and x10 LDO voltage stabilisers, Murata multilayer ceramic capacitors and 30 NCC electrolytic capacitors improve audio and video quality. The UDP900 can play DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD discs and media files, and supports H265 & H264.

HDR technology

The UDP900 impresses with brilliant brightness, contrast and gorgeous colours. It supports HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision with impressive HDR-to-SDR conversion and BT.2020/BT.709/BT.601 colour space support.

4K UHD upscaling

In addition to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray compatibility, the UDP900 can upscale low-resolution video sources to up to 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160), improving picture quality for an optimal home cinema experience.

High-quality lossless music

The UDP900 decodes DSD64/128, DSD64 multichannel and 192kHz/24bit formats and supports AIFF, ALAC, APE, FLAC and WAV audio files. The UDP900 features a specialised high-performance switching power supply and a 60W high-performance low-noise transformer for the digital section. A separate metal case dampens noise and ensures stability and quiet.

Premium digital-to-analogue converter

For pure audio reproduction, the UDP900 uses two ultra-low noise 100MHz TCXO temperature compensated crystal oscillators. Two independent DAC processors for two-channel and multi-channel D/A decoding ensure audiophile sound quality. ESS9038PRO and ESS9028PRO D/A decoding is integrated, as are gold-plated balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs.
