Smart Projector Control with NFC function

Smart Projector Control is an app for iOS and Android™ devices. Using the app, the PT-RQ35K series can be prepared for setup on site before it is connected to the power supply. Settings such as projector ID and IP address can be adjusted (read/write mode, read-only mode or off) with the projector disconnected via the Near Field Communication (NFC) function. The OSD settings can also be operated and configured without menu projection. In addition to various setting options for the lens, the projection can also be focused via smartphone camera from up to 30 metres away using the app. To connect the projector quickly and easily to the wireless network, all that is needed is to scan the QR code, which is displayed on the projector's information monitor. Smooth event kick-off with Remote Preview

With Remote Preview, the video signal integrity can be checked before the actual projection via a thumbnail of the input signal on a laptop. All that is needed is the appropriate software or a web browser while the projector is in standby mode or the shutter function is activated - especially useful at events such as concerts, where test projection of the content is often hardly possible due to the busy stage and other logistical factors. With Remote Preview, the potential for errors can be reduced even before the performance, and if something is not working properly, the possible cause can be narrowed down directly.

Pre-activated upgrade kits for Geo Pro software

The optional upgrade kits for the free Geometry Manager Pro software*1 normally require activation with a licence key. However, with the PT-RQ35K series projectors, the kits are ready to use immediately after the Geo Pro download. Just as with bitmap masks, the use of the kits reduces installation time by automatically and simultaneously calibrating edge blending areas via an external camera*2. Without the kit, the brightness, colour and black level of each projector would have to be adjusted manually. Information display

For easy set-up and streamlined operation, the PT-RQ35K series features an easy-to-read information display next to the control panel. The menu can be navigated using the arrow keys and network settings such as projector ID can be conveniently configured without having to project the OSD menu. During operation, the information display shows projector status, including temperature, runtime, error codes and input signal information.
